Why don't all the links work?
OK, I know this may sound somewhat confusing, but here goes... If it looks like it is supposed to be a link, but isn't currently working, the page is either temporarily off-line or about to be added. These "soon to be links" are, at times, used as place holders for new pages before they are complete or ready to be added to the site. Usually the ones that are underlined are functional links, but if one isn't working please be patient and check back soon.
What do I need to do to trade links?
All you need to do is E-mail us. As long as you have a qualifying automotive link, and are willing to trade, we have no problems with adding a new link. Please allow a few days for any new links to be added though.
What do you use to build the page?
Most of the pages are made with Notepad, the simple text program that comes with Windows. However, some of our updates are done with Namo to help speed up the process a bit. All Images are manipulated with Paint Shop Pro, by Jasc. Pictures are taken by either a Sony DSC-F717, a Panasonic DMC-FZ30, or a Canon SD600 Digital Camera. Older scans were done by a Canon Scanner (which was great until it broke), although newer scans are done with an HP unit, which is why they will probably won't look as good (HP has the WORST scaning software).
Why don't things look right?
I must stress that all of these pages are designed for Netscape 4.0 or greater. These pages are NOT designed to look right with Internet Explorer or AOL. They should look fine with these other browsers, but there is no guarantee as they look at they formatting differently. Also, regardless of the browser, you must make sure your settings don't conflict with the page - such as backgrounds, text size, and hyperlink colors.
Why has it taken so long for the big change?
Unfortunately, we have had little time as to the volume of projects that we have been involved with. Because of this, a little time has been available to commit to the web site. Also, there has been a little bit of a change in direction with a few of our pages - such as our new Off Topic area. At this point, you can expect things to start to get much more interesting. Updates will be made on a more regular basis, and many new sections will be added - including online projects, and "how to" articles. MotorSports Digest is also now accepting sponsorship and advertisements. While we make all these new changes, if you have any questions, please feel free to ask!
